Re: Northern Exposure
I'm in, getting my boat polished at Diamondback to look like Smugglers (shiny). Should pick it up in about three weeks. Should be me and maybe one more. Have room for at least one more if someone needs a ride. Any idea on how many may show up? Just wondering, will this be like Loughman's Spring Fling or a much toned down version? Either way I'm up for the haul. Be about a 51/2- 6 hour ride, get there Friday after lunch and leave Sunday afternoon. Dam ya'll, I am addicted to airboating and now you have me addicted to these group rides. And I NEED another fix.

Re: Northern Exposure
Smugglers and I rented the green house. If everyone wants to post up, we can sure put something together! My girlfriend has rode before but never with a crowd like we put together! She is looking forward to a hell of a good time! We'll be coming over to Camp Mack late morning Friday and will be there until Sunday.

Re: Northern Exposure
Still on? I haven't seen anything on SA or will it pick up after Memorial Day. I've ask a few people and they haven't heard about it yet. After doing some reading. I guess the points of interest in this area are Milk Bus, Bull Sh#* Hill and the Ridge if I am right. I might need a guide.

Re: Northern Exposure
Kim before we could make it a official ride we had to have a motion for it. We had our meeting last night and now it is official I have a bunch of work to do today but as soon as I get caught up I will post the details..
Also there are a bunch of points of interest on that chain of lakes and the ride we have planned will stop at each one and end up at the pavilion on dead river for a cook out..
Like I said let me get some work done and I will get some more details posted.. But it's on like donkey kong

Re: Northern Exposure
Thank god. Ya'll had me a little worried. It just kinda died. It will take a little bit to learn the club rules or is there a pamphlet or bylaws that I need to read.

Re: Northern Exposure
We have by laws but we are tweaking them a little right now but as soon as they are done we will get you a copy.
I am not always sure of the rules either.. It was my fault for opening it up with out a actual motion my bad...
I will get the details on here ASAP

Re: Northern Exposure
Okay Kim here is a rough draft of what is going to happen...
A lot of people including us will be there Friday June 12th. I am sure we will put in Friday night and go to the usual hang out spots like Obama Ridge. Milk Bus, BS Hill and I am sure we will do a little partying and call it a night.
On Saturday we plan to ride this route.. Sorry but I don't have a start time yet..
1 Drasdo
2 BS Hill
3 Take the long way around lake cypress
4 Into Dead River to the Pavillion... This is where we eat Because this is kind last minute we are just going to make the food simple.. There is a grill at the pavilion so we are just going to cook Hamburgers & hot dogs with simple sides.. then to
5 Obama Ridge
6 Milk Bus
7 Poluted waters I am pretty sure this is going to be a option as some will not want to drive all the way down there.. Kim I am sure a couple of us will ride down there if you want to see it..
Of course if we get some rain in gardners marsh we play in there as well..
Stumpy I think we are "trying" to come up with something... What was your thought on the shirt??

Re: Northern Exposure
That sounds great. I will be in around 2:00 I think on Friday. I have to go by Diamondback to get my boat and then cut across and find my way to Camp Mack. Just a question, how many BS Hill's are there? I am looking for the one that Diamondback had in their catalog. It had a little shack at the top. Taking my boat to the top is on my bucket list. I made it to the top of one on the Spring Fling but no shack, wrong one.
Will it be set up something like Spring Fling with a party central? Do I need to bring my 10'X10' open tent, do you need it?
If anybody needs anything picked up at Diamondback just let me know, maybe save a trip.

Re: Northern Exposure
How many BS hills are there?? That is funny... It seams there are several BS hills threw out the state.. There are a couple of decent hills on the kissimmi chain but I don't know of any that have a shack on it... Maybe someone else will chime in and know the spot your talking about... Come on.. Anyone...
I don't know about a party central yet.. but I will find out for you...

Re: Northern Exposure
Does Camp Mack have a large picnic pavilion where you can cook and eat? How do you park your boats. Most pictures I have seen is deep water tie up. Is there an area for airboat parking on the hill?

they have a club house area that we have used in the past.
i will have to let Bigun or Nomad talk about the parking thing but the water is deep in the canal.
i put in at a different ramp. i can make it to Mack faster by boat than by truck.
See ya soon

If you stay at Mack you can get a boat slip shallow water, there is some parking by the ramp. The club house is nice with a pool I will call tomorrow and see if it is open NO hill but they work with us pretty good the boat ramps are easy ole OS is just a scared

Re: Northern Exposure
LETS GET IT ON, We have the Club House for Sat Night going to be a Pot Luck Dinner so bring some for you and your buddy, pool will be open I am sure the bar will be the spot. I be in Park Model #59 and boat slip 46. For all that staying at Camp Mack boat slip is nice touch. We see what the water is to set the ride on Sat. With the rain maybe we can drop in Gardner Marsh Witchy loves to ride the marsh at night so she can get lost in the high grass. So let get cranking 3 days of riding with our friends
